Night splints stretch the plantar fascia and foot and calf musculature while you rest or sleep—a key component in the treatment of plantar fasciitis.

The point of a night splint is not the foot into a 90° position and require you to tolerate this aggressive stretch for the entire night. Rather, the right splint will allow a more gradual stretch and progress as tolerance is increased. To provide this type of flexible stretch, the D2 Night Splint employs a dynamic cord that offers a constant low-load force that adjusts to changes in muscle tone throughout the night. In order to return to activity in the shortest time possible, treatment should incorporate a combination of night splints, orthotics, stretching and cold therapy.
